Scenario 13: Automatically capturing meeting notes in Google Meet

Who and in what situation

Zeynep, an operations manager at a logistics SME in Ankara, holds a weekly shipment meeting with carriers. She wants to capture decisions, open tasks and a brief summary without interrupting the conversation.

How it is done today

Zeynep manually notes dates and the names of those responsible while speaking. She then organizes and sends the notes; a quick decision may be missed.

How to do it with AI

  1. Before the meeting, enable Video call options > Meeting records > Take notes with Gemini in the Google Calendar event, or click Take notes for me at the top right after joining Meet. [7]
  2. Check the meeting language and click Start taking notes. Meet informs participants that notes are being taken. [7]
  3. At the end of the meeting, open the document created in the Google Meet folder in Drive. Use the Quick notes section for a brief update and the Full notes section to verify decisions and actions. [7]
  4. Check the owner and date of each action against the relevant conversation or document; leave unspecified fields as “not specified”.

The official list for Take notes for me includes English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish; Turkish is not on the list, and multiple languages are not supported in the same meeting.
