Scenario 61: Preparing a job posting and interview question set

Level: Beginner · Tools: Microsoft Copilot in Word, Microsoft Copilot Chat; an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription or Copilot license [55].

Who and in what situation

İrem is an HR specialist at a manufacturing SME in Ankara. Whenever recruiting a shift supervisor, she combines the previous job posting, the department manager’s notes, and the competency matrix.

How it is done today

İrem switches between documents; updating duties and writing a behavioral question for each duty are done manually.

How to do it with AI

  1. In Word, she selects the Copilot Dynamic Action Button; she asks for the draft to be based only on approved duty and competency notes [55].
  2. She has the job posting prepared under the headings of duties, required skills, preferred skills, and shift conditions; she asks for requirements not found in the source to be flagged.
  3. She generates interview questions with columns for the competency assessed and the expected evidence. She does not request candidate scoring.
  4. She selects the text and uses Copilot > Auto Rewrite; she checks the result on the Review screen, then adds it to the draft using Insert below [59].

Example prompt

Prepare a job posting and a set of behavioral interview questions for {position} using the approved duty and competency notes below. State the competency each question assesses and the specific evidence expected. Do not add requirements that are not in the source; mark unclear points as "HR verification". Do not score candidates or draw inferences from their personal characteristics: {approved notes}

Evidence and real-world example

No verified customer case was found for this use. The basis is the documentation on drafting and rewriting with Word Copilot [55] [59].

Points to consider

Feature access depends on the license and organization settings; Copilot’s language support may be more limited than that of the interface [55]. KVKK guidance recommends not transferring sensitive data to uncontrolled tools and having the output reviewed by a human [11]. For work and school accounts, Turkish is included in the September 2026 list; check the tenant feature separately [5].
